Warner, W(illiam) Lloyd
(26 oct. 1898, Redlands, Cal., EE.UU.–23 may. 1970, Chicago, Ill.).

Sociólogo y antropólogo estadounidense. Estudió con Alfred L. Kroeber y A.R. Radcliffe-Brown y posteriormente dictó cátedra en las universidades de Chicago y de Michigan. Sus estudios sobre el sistema de clases estadounidense han tenido amplia influencia. A fines de la década de 1930 publicó un estudio sobre la ciudad de Newburyport, Massachussets, en cinco volúmenes; otros libros suyos son A Black Civilization (1937), The Social Life of a Modern Community [La vida social de una comunidad moderna] (1941) y The Living and the Dead [Los vivos y los muertos] (1959).
